When does life start moving at warp speed? I really remember things going very slowly through high school. I remember college like it was yesterday and can sometimes be accused of acting like I am still 18. But, the truth is, my birthday is next week and I'll be 39. Thirty NINE! Oh My Gosh... I remember when my Dad turned 40. I remember what he was wearing, what his mustache looked like and what we did that night. How is it possible that I'm a year and a few days away from my own 40th birthday?!
Anyway, I just wanted to post some pictures of my little people and our fun summer.

Little Trunk and A Cute Wooden Table
So with each move I tend to reinvent myself. After moving to landlocked suburbia, I have reconnected with the love that is thrifting and painting furniture.
I found some steals at local thrift shops and painted to my hearts content!
The trunk was screaming red and cedar lined. I am more of a beachy calm fan. So I used chalk paint with dark wax on top. I also decopaged a map of Oahu on top. Dream on!
My next project was a little side table. I might put it next to the front door. I'm not really sure yet. I loved the round legs on the table and the height was perfect. I really struggled to paint it because it was in perfect shape. I finally decided to paint and not look back. I'm very happy with the results. I decided to stencil in Paris Grey chalk paint my wedding anniversary - just to make it more personalized.

Best Face of 2012
It took a lot of searching to find what I considered the "best face" shot of 2012. This sweet little nugget was my favorite. 3 months is such a tough age, but her face lit up in this shot and I just had to enter it in the I ❤ Faces weekly challenge!

My New Remote
God Bless the remote control shutter release. I finally found one that works with all 3 camera batteries. I am THRILLED!
Just a couple from today - good thing you can't smell me. The sweaty hair knot should be enough to know that I need a shower :)

Just a Sunday Night
Tonight I am vowing to take photos of ordinary events. The tree branches in the picture in my office are to hold all the beautiful Christmas Cards I get this year. The kids are growing up way too fast. How do you document and remember?
